FAQ
What is the return policy for Mainers products?
We understand that when ordering online, you can’t truly experience the fit, feel, and look of a product until you try it on. Because of this, Mainers will gladly accept returns on any product that is in new, pristine, unused condition, with tags, and in its original packaging.
Please see our Return Policy!
What is the warranty coverage on Mainers products?
The Mainers warranty covers your purchase for the usable lifespan of the product. This means that should a defect in materials or workmanship arise, we will repair or replace the garment free of charge. The warranty does not cover damage or normal wear and tear. Contact our customer service team to arrange a return authorization (RA) and we’ll handle the rest.
How do I know I’m ordering the right size?
Before you place an order we strongly encourage you to review our Sizing page. After measuring your hand, use our sizing guide to find the perfect fit.
If you find yourself in between sizes, we recommend ordering the larger size if you want to prioritize maximum warmth or ordering the smaller size if you want to prioritize dexterity.
How do I care for my Mainers mitts?
Mainers mitts can be machine washed. For best results, we suggest placing them in a mesh garment washing bag to prevent inversion of the inner and outer components.
Use a gentle washing cycle and warm water (not hot water). Do not use harsh detergents or bleach, instead we recommend using a detergent specifically designed for technical fabrics (easily available at most reputable outdoor retailers). Air dry by standing the gloves or mitts on their gauntlets or hanging them by the front tips.
Where are Mainers products made?
All Mainers products are cut and sewn by hand at our Mount Desert, Maine headquarters using more than 95% US-sourced materials. Our craftsmen and women each have decades of experience and an unparalleled commitment to quality. Meet the Mainers!
What makes Mainers mitts so special?
For extreme warmth, we built a mitt that features the most insulation in any consumer mitt available that is agile and flexible. Benefiting from a shared finger compartment, it pools warmth and provides comfort while the supple leather palm and thumb deliver a sure grip. It’s the perfect winter mitt for snowmobiling, winter treks, and those who are prone to cold fingers.
They’re made from light-weight yet rugged materials, featuring a plush interior, and technology to wick moisture away from your skin to keep you warm, dry, and never clammy.
